How we count
Monthly active users
The unique users who opened your app at least once in the last 30 days, counted by device through the DecTog SDK. The number is close to the monthly active users Firebase or Google Analytics shows for the same app.
Link clicks, installs and events are not counted separately, and there is no limit on links.

Self-hosting costs nothing but your Cloudflare usage. A plan pays for us to run, update and support it for you.

The Free plan is the trial, and it never ends. It has every feature the paid plans have and needs no credit card, so you can try all of DecTog before you pay for anything.
Your links keep working. We email you to move to a plan that fits, and the Plan card in your dashboard's Settings shows your count against your limit. If the account is still over 14 days later, the SDK traffic of your apps pauses: installs, events and opens are refused until you choose a plan that fits, which resumes them within a minute. Links never stop.
No. One plan covers every app in your account, and their monthly active users count together.
Yes, any time, from your dashboard's Settings. A new plan starts at once: moving up charges the difference for the rest of the month, and moving down refunds the unused part. If you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, then your account moves to Free.
Clicks, installs and events are not metered on their own, so a link that gets shared widely or a busy day of events costs nothing extra. What you pay follows the number of people who actually open your app.
DecTog itself costs nothing: the server is open source under the AGPL and the SDKs under MIT. You deploy it to your own Cloudflare account and pay Cloudflare directly for what you use.
A plan pays for us to run DecTog for you: no Cloudflare account to set up, no updates or database migrations to apply, and support by email. The code is the same either way. Self-hosting adds links on your own domain and the database region you choose, and you pay Cloudflare for what you use.
